The empty Atlas cinema is seen 14 October 2007 in Baghdad. The ticket costs 2,000 Iraqi dinnars (0,5 US dollars) and clients can watch up to three movies. Before the US-led invasion in March 2003, dozens of cinemas operated in the city, now only three are working. Fragile security, recurrent blackouts due to power shortage, and fear of car bombs are behind the decline in the number of cinema fans.
